Hello followers! I finally finished this one, I've been working on three different drawings at the same time and I had to focus on finishing one, in this case, the oldest. As you can tell, it belongs to the megacities series, the previous ones were Bangkok (Thailand) and Lagos (Nigeria). Its inspired in Mexico City, one of the biggest urban agglomerations in the world, with a metropolitan area of above 20 million people. There are many challenges this city faces, such as the terrible traffic, the growth of slums, pollution, lack of security... But besides all of that, there are many other things that make it stunning and special. Here I combined different buildings and landscapes that I really liked. We have the beautiful and detailed catholic cathedrals, the rising modern skyscrapers next to the smallest of buildings, and the amazing culture, with the Pedro Rivera murals showing the multicultural Mexican society, the indigenous and ancestral legacy, the Día de los Muertos, the movie industry...

 ¡Hola seguidores! Por fin he terminado este dibujo, he estado trabajando en tres a la vez y tenía como propósito acabar al menos uno, en este caso, el que antes empecé. Pertenece a la serie de Megaciudades, los anteriores fueron el de Bangkok (Tailandia) y Lagos (Nigeria). Está inspirado en México DF, una de las mayores aglomeraciones urbanas del mundo, con un área metropolitana de más de 20 millones de personas. Esta ciudad tiene muchos retos a los que enfrentarse, como el tráfico, la expansión de las favelas o suburbios, la contaminación, la inseguridad... Pero al margen de todo esto, hay muchos más elementos que la hacen preciosa y especial. He combinado distintos edificios y paisajes que me gustaban; las espectaculares catedrales, los nuevos y modernos rascacielos junto a las edificaciones más pequeñas, y sobre todo la increíble cultura, con los murales de Pedro Rivera, mostrando la sociedad multicultural mexicana; el legado indígena y ancestral, el día de los Muertos, la industria cinematográfica...
